Math Continuum

Using math diagnostic tools, we assess students' current math skills and determine where they are on a continuum of skills. Some of these skills include:

• Number names and counting sequence
• Counting to tell the number of objects
• Comparing numbers
• Understanding addition "putting together" and subtraction "taking away"
• Working with numbers 1-10, 11-19, 20-120
• Solving problems with addition and subtraction
• Understanding place value

All of these skills will help students become fluent mathematicians. Our goal is to meet students where they are, create a program for personalized learning and help them grow into confident and proficient math students
