Course Planning Guides

At the secondary level, the course planning process begins in the early winter. The course planning guide is made available to all families in hard copy or online. Parents are invited to be a participant in all conversations regarding scheduling, college and career readiness, and fulfillment of graduation requirements.

Graduation Requirements

Our graduation requirements align with current State of Connecticut Statute. They allow for students to experience core content as well as select a broad variety of electives to assist in providing opportunities to explore different courses within our existing career pathways. This assist students in solidifying thier plans for life after high school. For specific details of Wallingford's graduation requirements, please review our Baord of Education Policy listed below.

BOE Policy 6146 ~ Graduation Requirements and Standards of mastery

Community Service

All high school students are required to accumulate a minimum of 30 hours of community service. Community service hours must be approved by an administrator or school counselor prior to beginning the service. Forms can be obtained in the School Counseling Department or on the school website.

Students tranferring to high school after grade nine will have the amount of community service hours prorated.
