Student Assessment & Grading

At all levels the broad categories that make up a students Habits of Work are as follows:

• Preparation for Learning
  • Complete assignments on time
  • Arrives to class on time and prepared
• Engagement with Learning
  • Participates in classroom discussions
  • Engages in classroom activities
  • Demonstrates perserverance in learning opportuntities
• Interaction with Teachers and Peers
  • Demonstrates respect to others
  • Shares responsibility during group tasks
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude

Habits of Work will be reported monthly at all levels and will appear on your child's report card at the end of each marking term. 

Redo/retakes provide students an opportunity to demonstrate knowledge, content, and skills that were lacking from the original assessment.  

Teachers identify, in collaboration with their teams/departments, which assessments apply to redos/retakes.  

Parents will sign-off signifying that they have seen the class expectations.
