Wallingford Public Schools preschool program consists of both full day and half-day options in the four K-2 elementary schools. The preschool program is held 5 days a week and follows the Wallingford Public Schools calendar.
Children must turn four years old on or before January 1st of the calendar year to be eligible. Families must be Wallingford residents. There is no cost to families accepted into the program. However, the district does not provide transportation. All interested children will be screened and the results will be used in creating balanced classes. As we often have more children screen than have available spots, acceptance is not guaranteed.
At this time, we still have open spots for the 19-20 school year in our four year old program in the half-day sessions at E. C. Stevens and Cook Hill Elementary School. Both morning and afternoon spots are available. If you or someone you know is interested, please call the school directly to get more information.
Four year old preschool screenings for the 20-21 school year will take place on March 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19 in the Community Room at the Wallingford Public Library. Screening appointments can be made beginning on February 1, 2020 on our website. A sign-up genius will be opened at 8:30 am and will remain open until all spots are filled.
