Welcome to the health services page for Parker Farms School. My name is Lauren Young. I received my Associates at St. Vincent's College of Nursing in Bridgeport Connecticut, and then my Bachelor's of Nursing at Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I worked at Griffin Hospital in telemetry and their ICU, then St. Raphael's Hospital in pediatrics for 12 years. I received the Nightingale Award of Nursing when at St. Raphael's Hospital. I am now on the Association of School Nurses of Connecticut (ASNC) board as the program chair. I am married and have two small children at home.

When I'm not taking care of the children and staff in the health office, I enjoy educating your children. I teach wellness topics such as hand washing, healthy eating, and the district curriculum of growth and development.

I am available for parents and students from 8:30 - 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please feel free to call Parker Farms School at 294-6203 if you have any concerns about your child's health.
